Nawa Radio as a part of Saba Broadcasting Institute and as an independent radio channel has started its test programs as of 13 Oct 2005 on 103.1 FM, covering all Kabul (except a part of Surubi district) and other provinces such as Parwan, Kapisa, Logar and Panj Shir. It started its main broadcasting programs after 4 months test broadcast with a beautiful party in building of Cinema Ariana on 15 Feb 2005 (26 Dalwa 1384).
Nawa Radio's broadcast has developed during the four months test programs to completely cover Herat (1 Dec 2005), Kandahar (4 Dec 2005), Balkh (12 Dec 2005), Nangarhar (19 Dec 2005).
In the year 2006 five other provinces could be covered, such as Kunduz (12 August), Ghazni (29 August), Faryab (3 Sep), Paktia (7 Dec), Farah (12 Sep).
In the beginning of 2007 Nawa could cover Orozgan and put its station in Trinkut (14 Jan), Dehraward (27 March), and Chura (28 March) districts of this province.
In the mid 2007 it developed to Nimroz (14 April), Khas district of Orozgan (25 May) and Charchino district of Orozgan (October).
Nawa Radio with 24 hour broadcast of religious, educational, art, heath, social, law and intellectual programs is for the service of its listeners who are increasing day by day.
