Gandahara production unit is one of the most important sections of Saba which has started activities in late 2004.Gandahara consists of four major departments:
* Video department
* Audio department
* Press
* Archive
Main activities of Gandahara are producing audio and video materials, making and broadcasting afghan music and dubbing movies of foreign languages into our national languages and making advertisements. Video and Audio producing departments started their activities in 2005 to make video and audio materials.
Department of Audio edition:
Has documentaries, dramas, poems and stories ready for broadcasting in any medias such as radios, internet and CD players.
Department of Video edition:
Has documentary and cinematic movies and advertisements for broadcasting in any medias and TV Networks, internet and etc.
Press:
This department is called Fajer press and was founded 2001 and works as of that date.
Due to administrative need and for development came under the control of Gandahara production unit in 2007.
Archive:
This department is not one of income section of Gandahara but it is one of the major supporters of Gandahara and whole Saba Broadcasting Institute.
In this department produced materials will be archived and provided for employees to use.
In this department materials produced by Gandahara production, Nawa radio, Saba TV Network and printable materials of press is kept. Other sections of this department are music archive, video archive, audio and text archive.
Music section:
This section is also one of supporting parts of Gandahara which has started working since late 2005. This section is able to make any kind of afghan music.
Dubbing and Translating section:
This section started in the beginning of 2008.
This section is responsible for translating and dubbing movies and TV programs of foreign languages into out national languages.
Purpose:
Gandahara production participates in main concern of Saba Broadcasting Institute with all its efforts.
Objective:
Making income for Saba Broadcasting Institute through producing audio, video and high quality printing things according to the need of the country.
Purposes of the section:
1. Making income for Saba Broadcasting Institute
2. Enhancing afghan culture
3. Improving Saba's broadcasts
4. Introducing different cultures and civilizations by dubbing and translating foreign products.
5. Capacity building
Or the purposes will be made by the sponsor while it is opposite of the regulations and opinions of the administration.

Major activities of Gandahara production:
Producing Video and Audio:
This section consists of different ways of producing which are ways of producing research and entertaining programs, producing music by one or more players, poems and stories and making dramas and footages in audio, video or animation.
Analyzing video and audio products:
For enhancing the quality of video and audio products, a weekly meeting is set that in each meeting one of the products of the production will be analyzed. In these meetings the employees and two or three experts will attend in order to do that job. Suggestions and criticisms of the experts and employees will be noted and kept. The producer is responsible to note and use the suggestions and criticisms in order to improve the quality of his/her program.
Participants of this meeting:
* At least one technical expert
* At least one material expert
* Technical personnel related to the section.
* In charge of the department
* Manager of the department.
Press:
Fajer press works as a separate section for Gandahara production for providing printable materials. The main purpose of the press is to make income.
Archive of video, audio and text materials:
Archive had three major sections:
1. Archive of audio materials
This section has the archive of the music, radio programs, stories, poems and all things needed in radio broadcast.
2. Archive of video materials:
This section has the archive of video clips, TV programs, movies, and all the things needed for TV broadcast.
It is to say that this archive except the products of Gandahara production, Saba TV Network and Nawa radio archives the outer products of them.
Archive of text:
This section consists of the archive of texts, images, photos in soft and hard copy forms of the in out products of the Institute.
